So I am trying to find a Multi FX processor out there that is pretty blind friendly any suggestions?
Hey, most of these are fairly accessible but not super accessible. I've always used the Boss GT processors, haven't used the latest and greatest from them yet but I like them better than any othe3r multi effect ones out there sound wise. That being said I find myself using these less and less. I used the built in effects on my Crate or Marshall MG amps, they are digial but the sound quality of the processors is just infinitely better than the multi effects lot. Add a nice distortion pedal like the DS-1, a whammy from Digitech (love that thing) and a quality digital delay and loop pedals and you can make your guitar do things it never dreamt of. I play a lot of Radiohead/Pink Floyd ish things and some Pumpkins, for which I use the built in distortion on my Marshall, though I can send you an article for how to exactly achieve that sound, it's amazing you can replicate it with some tube screamer effect or other. Best of luck
Yeah i have messed with the boss GT stuff in the bass and they do have some killer sounds. And the Crate amps are great, never messed with the marshalls as I stilldon't really like the marshall sound from the ones I have played over the years. My thing however is that I have a great amp (Gallien-Krueger Backline - a bass amp but sounds killer with guitars, I just love the distortion on that thing) and thus need some effects to go through the loop since it has none built in. The boss GT series i don't think can be controlled by midi which is what i am looking for since i want to be able to switch my amp channell and effects with one footswitch.
